Join a group of future students on a walking tour of campus with a student tour guide. You’ll visit classroom buildings, student services and other popular locations.

Tour Times

Monday-Friday: 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Saturday: 11 a.m. (during academic year only)

Engineering Campus Tour: March 1, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.
In addition to a walking campus tour with a student tour guide, you’ll have the opportunity to meet with an engineering faculty member who will answer questions and showcase the Computing & Engineering Building.

Find your home with EWU Housing & Residential Life. Join a group of future students on a walking tour with a student tour guide. You’ll visit two or three of the most popular residence halls: Pearce Hall, Streeter Hall and/or snyamncut (official spelling).

Future Student Events

Young Men + Summit is a free leadership program serving young men in grades 8-12, specifically first-generation, low-income, and multicultural populations in the greater Inland Northwest. The summit empowers and motivates young men to excel in academics and social achievement. Participants will acquire tools for personal development, confidence, and academic success.

Be an eagle for a day! Experience a day in the life of current students. This event is an opportunity for those who cannot make it to campus for admitted student day but would still like an chance to see the campus and hear from current students.

More Events

Customized Group Visits

Special guidelines have been introduced to ensure you have the best group visit possible.

  • Groups can include up to 55 participants.
  • If multiple groups want to be on campus at the same time, the group that signed up first will receive the visit slot.
  • Exceptions to these guidelines may occur on a case by case basis depending on the availability of resources.

To make sure your visit is tailored to your needs, you’ll want to plan well in advance.

  • Schedule your overnight visits four weeks in advance.
  • Schedule your day visits at least three weeks in advance.
  • Group visits are available Monday through Friday.
  • Overnight visits are available Monday through Thursday for students in the 9th grade and above.
  • On the day of your visit, let us know if you’re running late.

Student guides provide walking tours of campus. As time allows, you will have the opportunity to explore the majority of the Cheney campus. Your tour includes the library and University Recreation Center. The ratio of visitors to guides will depend on how many guides are available at that time.

A typical presentation includes an overview of the admissions process, tips on how to apply for college, the actions students should take to prepare for college, and a question and answer session with an admissions representative.

Choose from multiple workshops on college fit, essay writing, and more. Workshops are age-specific, and we can customize options for your group.

The cost of meals varies but is typically $9-$11 per student. EWU Dining Services requires a two-week notice to plan your group meal. You can also bring your own lunches and picnic!

Recreation activities includes an ice rink, rock climbing wall, a fieldhouse with track and multiple sport courts, and multiple gyms. We are happy to coordinate use of these facilitates as available. Your students may need to complete release waivers.

You can have up to 50 high school students stay overnight in Dryden Hall. The cost of an overnight visit varies, and you will need to provide your own linens or rent them from EWU Housing. At least one chaperone is required per 15 students. Please schedule your visit and contact us at least four weeks in advance to discuss details and availability.

All campus tours begin and end at the Visitor Center which consequently also has the best brochure selection on campus.
