Health services administration is a challenging and dynamic field that seeks to enhance the health services industry. Because of the changes and challenges in the field, health services are delivered in a variety of settings. As a graduate of the Health Services Administration Program (HSAD) you will be prepared to work as a manager in all aspects of the health services industry.

The program believes in the concept that “service delivery is a team affair,” and is committed to providing education, research, and service opportunities for students to become effective collaborators in personal health enhancement.

HSAD operates from a principle of Person-Centered Care. Evidence-based approaches and safety are mandates of the Person-Centered Care principle. Values communicated in the program are communication, coordination, and collaboration. This program strives to model the concepts of teamwork, systems approach and thinking, and continuous improvement.

The Health Services Administration program is accredited by the Association of University Programs for Health Administration (AUPHA) and the National Association of Long Term Care Administrator Board (NAB).

The number of “Medical and Health Services Managers” jobs in the year 2016 was 352,200; according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics that is likely to increase 20% in the 2016-26 period. They project an increase of 72,100 jobs in the ten year period (much faster growth than the typical career) making it a great field to enter into and make a life-long career out of.
