Lexi Anderson is studying biology at Eastern Washington University. In her teenage years, she decided that things needed to change, and that she wanted to help put forth that change. Having Turnbull Wildlife Refuge this close to the university has allowed her to study unique ecosystems that other universities don’t have access to.

Kira Kallem is studying visual communication design at Eastern Washington University. Having teachers that provide assignments with outside clients has exposed her to new possibilities of what she could do in the professional world.

Kandise Holcomb studies biology and biochemistry at Eastern Washington University. She loves the amount of research opportunities on campus, and she is now looking to find a job where she can work in a lab.

For Jakob Wilson, the computer science program at EWU has been valuable to learn about game development, especially from a teacher who is an industry professional.

Isaiah Ratliff is a student at Eastern Washington University studying electrical engineering. He knew he wanted to help people and solve problems, and his education at EWU has opened up potential career paths of working with communication signals, solar power and renewable energy.

Heather “Raven” Fruscalzo is studying biology with a focus on disease ecology at Eastern Washington University. She has done her own research from designing her own experiment to publishing the academic paper, and the research opportunities she received has helped her get into grad school.

Hailey Gilbert loves the Theatre Department for its family-oriented environment, being able to work directly with instructors and always having someone to talk to.

Graphic design has allowed Ellen Picken to do what she loves by being precise and communicating for others. Her favorite graphic design medium is murals, and she has recently designed a mural for a four-story building in downtown Seattle.

Conor McMillan is studying mechanical engineering at Eastern Washington University. He loves art and engineering, and his education at EWU has allowed him to do projects that intersect with his two passions.
