Express Transfers for SACM Students from Canada

Eastern Washington University offers support to Saudi students displaced from Canadian institutions.

Saudi students attending academic institutions in Canada will no longer receive sponsorship from the Saudi Arabian Cultural Mission (SACM) following a recent breakdown of diplomatic ties between the two nations. The cancellation of the SACM scholarship program affects more than 7,000 Saudi students studying in Canada.

In support of the displaced students, Eastern Washington University is offering express, fast-tracked transfers and expedited admission for SACM students affected by the scholarship cancellation.

To apply as an undergraduate (bachelor’s) student, follow these two easy steps:

1. Complete the EWU Application online, and upload a copy of your passport. [ More ]
2. Submit official transcripts from your previous institutions.

Once admitted, your immigration documents will be expedited.

As a mainly quarter-system school, EWU’s fall quarter begins in late September. In partnership with EWU’s School of Global Learning, EWU Admissions and the Registrar’s Office will dedicate staff to process transcript evaluations with a one-week turnaround for basic credit transfers.
