New York Times bestselling author Jack Weatherford shares how Genghis Khan harnessed the power of religious freedom to rule the world’s largest empire in the 13th century.

When we think of Genghis Khan the first thing that comes to mind is a ruthless, bloody conqueror. Weatherford reveals how Genghis Khan was also a champion of religious freedom, and his example inspired Thomas Jefferson.

Genghis Khan secured the longest period of peace by connecting the two most powerful human impulses: the urge to trade and the desire to believe.
